SustainablePeach at Agrotica 2024 

Peaches are one of the major crops of the Region of Central Macedonia, the Region that hosted the 30th anniversary ‘Agrotica’ Agricultural Machinery, Equipment & Supplies International Trade Fair on 1-4 February 2024 . The exhibition was completed with great success, as it attracted more than 150,000 visitors and 1800 exhibitors from 17 countries, while it hosted dozens of side events. 

A large number of peach producers visited Stand 28 in Pavilion 2 (Top Floor) of the coordinator of the SustainablePeach project, NEUROPUBLIC. The Stand provided informational materials, such as the project’s roll up banner and the trifold leaflet, which was distributed to a large number of visitors. 

NEUROPUBLIC, based on its collaboration with GAIA EPICHEIREIN and its previous collaboration with production and research organisations in the context of funded Greek and European projects, has built an ecosystem of stakeholders and interested parties in the peach production, standardisation, and marketing chain, such as agricultural cooperatives and individual producers, agronomists and agricultural advisers, etc. 

A large part of this audience had the opportunity to visit the NEUROPUBLIC Stand and learn about the smart farming solutions being developed by the SustainablePeach project, showing particular interest in reducing production costs and the environmental footprint of peach cultivation.
