About the project
The reduction of production costs in peach cultivation is carried out through representative pilot applications.
This will be achieved by the analysis and adaptation of intelligent agriculture (IA) models/services in the first cropping season, as well as the effectiveness of the advice in the second cropping season.
The new research infrastructure (telemetry stations/analyses/sampling) that will be installed in order to highlight the comparative advantages of reducing costs and the environmental footprint of production is necessary.
Main purpose of the project
SustainablePeach is a project of Action 2 of Measure 16 (Submeasures 16.1 and 16.2). The aim of the project is to utilize cutting-edge technologies for the development and application of intelligent agriculture (IA) solutions, with the aim of reducing production costs per acre of cultivation, and at the same time improving peach quality. IA’s solutions do not signal the reduction of production, but the minimization of pesticide residues, as well as the environmental footprint of the crop, achieving harmonization with the demands of international markets and contributing to the fight against climate change.
